You are invited to experience the rare and highly sought after art works of Jackson Shuri, a multi-media painter based in New York City. The exhibition features 28 paintings of varying sizes, hues and textures including works never before exhibited. Jackson’s works document the intersections of her experiences. Born in Jamaica, Jackson immigrated to the United States of America and earned her art degree at the Long Island University. Come experience the vibrant intensive creations of Jackson’s art @ National Institute For African Studies, Creative Campus 18-20 St. John’s Street, EC1M 4NX, first floor above Bar Smith, learn more about her practice, life, and journey.
